This is, however, a great time for a few reminders:
Please make sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for the weather (coats, hats, gloves, etc.).
Label all outerwear with your child’s name so lost items can be returned quickly.
Check that your child has proper footwear for outdoor play and recess.
Keep an eye on district messages or our page for any updates regarding weather-related delays or closures. We will make a decision regarding closure as soon as possible, usually by 6:00 a.m. - 6:30 a.m.
Thank you for helping us keep everyone warm, safe, and ready to learn this winter!

Dear Thomasboro Grade School Families,
We understand that many families in our community may be impacted by the upcoming delay in SNAP benefits. During this time, we want to ensure that no child or family goes without the food and support they need. Our school continues to offer the "Feed Our Kids" program, which provides food for students to take home each weekend. If your family would benefit from receiving food or if you have any questions about this program, please contact Ms. Pope at 217-643-3275.
In Addition, several local food pantries and community organizations are available to assist families:

We encourage any family in need to reach out- these resources are here to help. Please know that all inquiries and participation in these programs are confidential.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to care for our students and families.
